Current release: La Malinette 2.0

Released 2018-09-06 — tested with pd 0.48

A big deal was to _stay up-to-date with the Pure Data Vanilla_ development and forget the obsolete Pd-extended project. We designed a _new architecture_ to focus on differents needs from newbies to experts with three repositories : soft, ide, abs. The _BrutBox_ project was also rebuilded and is merged inside the Malinette. You need to install about 21 externals or download the malinette-soft version. See INSTALL.md for instructions and the http://malinette.info website for all links and documentations.

Project Description

La Malinette
Project resources

Interactive arts. The Malinette is a free and open source tool to make interactive and multimedia systems. It is used by artists, students and teachers in labs, schools, colleges or faculties.

Scalable software. The software is a kind of framework and a graphical interface based on the fantastic Pure Data language and the work of its community. It is released under three different flavors, from newbies to experts.

D.I.Y Hardware. We design a wood box shaped like a book to make it portable. It contains an electronic board Arduino and a coherent set of five sensors and five actuators. You can be build the box in a Fablab near you.

The principle is to split an interactive chain in three parts : the inputs, the processings and the outputs. We use the analogy with the human perception to understand how work interactive systems and create newest. We were inpired by other projects in Pure Data, especially the abstractions libraries mtl for the classification of objects and DIY2 for dynamic menu.
