From tfbb Thu Aug 11 19:58:17 +0200 2005 From: tfbb Date: Thu, 11 Aug 2005 19:58:17 +0200 Subject: recent developments Message-ID: <20050811195817+0200@https://puredata.info> I almost finished the gui in the past days - have a look at the screen shots ... In its present form, it takes up about 2 per cent of cpu power on my laptop (p3, 450mhz). This is probably as good as it gets - mapi was much worse in this respect. I hope that the UI will be halfway intuitive ... Also, the envelope generators are pretty much done. They produce adr- (attach/delay/release) and some sinusoid envelopes for events that are triggered by bangs (ie., beat detection, metros, external midi inputs and the like) and adsr envelopes for keys pressed on a midi controller. There are some "expression by 0 detected" messages when they are initialized - these are due to messages arriving in an undetermined order at expr-objects. Although this is merely a cosmetical issue, I'll iron this out someday. What's left to do are the guts - this will hopefully be much of a copy-and-paste operation (from mapi), I hope I'll be done with this until Wednesday when we'll have a performance at the Games Convention. Actually, saving works fine (at least the xml files produced by pool look good), but I cannot manage to get those presets loaded by pool again. Since this is a crucial feature, I'll postpone the release of tvjt until this issue is sorted out.
