It used to work, but I made some changes that broke the whole thing. I'll look into this.

the smoothing algorithm needs to be improved. i used Thomas Grill's low-pass-technique in the past, which worked really great. It's only setback proved to be huge parameter changes from, for example, 360 to 0 degree, which are supposed to be jumps, but got interpolated as well. I didn't find an easy solution yet.

tbc

From tfbb Tue May 17 16:21:22 +0200 2005 From: tfbb Date: Tue, 17 May 2005 16:21:22 +0200 Subject: future development Message-ID: <20050517162122+0200@https://puredata.org> please add suggestions on how MAPI could be improved here ... I'll implement a save/load-functionality, this will probably be implemented with rrradical.

I'm thinking about changing MAPI in a way that there are only 4 render chains, each would have a chooseable input (movie, live cams, pics, ...). That should be enough to keep you and your computer busy ...

another thing that bothers me is the waste of CPU cycles for the GUI. I'll probably make all the GUI elements visible at request only, this should give more space for one or another filter

From tfbb Tue Jun 7 16:00:03 +0200 2005 From: tfbb Date: Tue, 07 Jun 2005 16:00:03 +0200 Subject: complete rewrite? Message-ID: <20050607160003+0200@https://puredata.org> the more I think about it, the more it becomes clear that I shouldn't waste any more energy with MAPI but start something new ... a fancy name for this new project would be great.
