You need to install Python 2.6 (http://www.python.org/download/)

Install GTK

Windows:

Install GTK+ runtime package (http://sourceforge.net/projects/gtk-win/)

Warning: this application does not work with winGTK, if it was installed, it is necessary to delete all .dll from the systems folder.

Install pyGTK and its complementary packages (corresponding to python 2.6)

Be sure to establish the correct search path for PD and load the library correctly.

Opy the files: PCS_1.DAT, PCS_2.DAT, y PCS_KH.DAT to c:/pd or the corresponding path where Pure Data is installed.

Running the Python Script

1)   In order to run ScoreView successfully you need PD (aka Pure Data) with the OSC externals know as OSCX. This library comes with PD-extended. Be sure to start up the library and initialize the correct path if it does not work.

2)   Execute the python script named “Paritura PCS”

3)   See ScoreView (PD external) help to learn how it works

Trouble Shooting:

If Python script does not run, then try running it from console (“cd” where the file is). In windows you can add python to the systems path in order to run Python Scripts by double click.

PCSLIB:

When a file is opened directly from the explorer, PD does not load the .DAT files, in order to solve this, we recommend to always leave a copy of these files inside your projects folder.

This application has been tested and developed in Windows XP sp2-3, further investigation in Linux & Mac OSX 10.6 is necessary but we expect it to be up and running soon.

Asegurarse de establecer la ruta al directorio correctamaente y cargar las librerias al iniciar PD.

Copiar los archivos PCS_1.DAT, PCS_2.DAT, y PCS_KH.DAT en c:/pd o el directorio donde se encuentra instalado Pure Data.

Ejecutar el Script de Python

1) Para poder correr ScoreView, es necesario tener la librería de PD OSCX instalada, esta viene con pd extended. Asegúrese de inicializar la librería como corresponde y colocarla dentro del path de búsqueda de PD.

2) Ejecutar el script de python llamado “Partitura PCS”

3) Mirar ScoreView (PD external) help para aprender como funciona

Problemas:

Si el script de python no se ejecuta correctamente, entonces trate de correrlo desde la consola (navegar a la carpeta donde esta el archivo mediante “cd”) En Windows, se puede añadir Python al “path” del sistema para poder correr el script con doble click (a continuación se explica como)

1. Ir al icono de mi PC

2. Darle con el segundo click

3. Darle click en la pestaña de opciones avanzadas

4. Darle Click en variables de entorno

5. En la parte de arriba , donde dice variables de entorno para (y el nombre de su sección) miramos si esta PATH si esta le damos doble clic y donde dice valor de variable nos vamos al final del campo y ponemos ;(Ubicación de python), en mi caso el directorio esta en C:/Python26,,

Escribir ";C:/Python26” Luego aceptar, aceptar , aceptar.

Si teníamos abierto el MS DOS hay que cerrarlo

6. Con el comando PATH podemos revisar si el contenido de la variable es el correcto

PCSLIB:

Cuando se ejecuta un patch directamente desde el explorador de windows, los archivos .DAT no son cargados correctamente. Para evitar esto se recomienda tener una copia de esos archivos en la carpeta del proyecto.

Esta aplicación se desarrolló y testeó en Windows XP sp2-3, si bien es posible correrla en Linux y Mac OSX 10.6, más investigación es necesaria para poder correr GTK con éxito, esperamos lograrlo proximamente.
