This video is an overview of how the music and sound was constructed using the open source language Pure Data for the educational video game Sim Cell. The video explains how the Pure Data patch was used to generate music in a countless number of variations for the gameplay. A collection of 15 student patches for an interaction design course I was teaching at Emily Carr University of Art and Design. I hope that the patches will be useful to people playing around with Pure Data in a learning environment, installation artwork and other uses.
