Released 2014-03-20 — tested with pd 0.44
Latest Pd-L2Ork, its K12 module, as well as the latest version of Pd-L2Ork for the Raspberry Pi platform that includes comprehensive set of objects for sensing, including GPIO with pulse-width-modulation support, and analog sensor monitoring support (via MCP3008 A/D chip and SPI module). In addition to a slew of bug-fixes and improvements, pd-l2ork’s structures have seen a significant overhaul (thanks to contributions from Jonathan Wilkes and others) now supporting a majority of the SVG spec and allowing for some powerful manipulations of structs inside pd patches. Please note that the structs are still under development, so some instabilities remain. Please note that not all releases will be publicized regularly on this portal, so make sure to check out the L2Ork site for most up-to-date information. Pd-L2Ork typically makes build candidates every couple of weeks.
There are no experimental releases available at the moment.
Linux-centric monolithic distribution based on pd-extended with focus on solid/stable core, enhancements, and usability features including infinite undo, gui-based iemgui object editing, accelerated visual editor, improved appearance, and more. The said distribution is used exclusively by Virginia Tech Linux Laptop Orchestra. The software has been in development since fall 2009 and is currently distributed as an independent fork of pd and pd-extended. While Pd-L2Ork is not binary compatible with pd or pd-extended, it provides most 3rd-party externals as part of its monolithic distribution. Furthermore, all externals' source is fully compatible with Pd-L2Ork and can be compiled without any alterations.
Pd-L2Ork also offers a user-friendly K12 mode (see screenshot) geared towards use in MAKEr workshops targetting elementary and high-school students. The project is known for its nimble development cycle and robust, feature-rich core pd experience. Pd-L2Ork is currently Linux-centric. If interested in contributing to porting efforts to other platforms, please contact us on the l2ork-dev mailing list.
Pd-L2Ork is appropriate for Pd newcomers and veterans alike on Linux platform.
