Hints:
- some of the Apple supplied codecs use both CPUs? for decompression, particularly the HD ones.
- The stock SATA drives have enough performance for compressed HD streams
Measured performance:
- At least 2 DV streams with pix_object processing on a single 1Ghz G4
- At least one 720 HD stream on the same G4
- At least two 720 HD on dual G5 systems

Yesterday I had the pleasure of setting up a GEM install on a new Dual 2.5Ghz G5 and a 23Inch cinema display... we had 2 1080i DVCPro HD Streams running to 2 rects with barely a frame dropped, with 3D transforms and all.
