small tutorial about the use of ctlin when working in pd with a midi controller with potentiometers and faders. I will later add this basic tutorial to the FLOSS manual

An improvisatory laptop performance I recently made at the University of Memphis by using two aluminum cans and a patch I designed in Pd (PureData). Enjoy! ~ You can watch the video of this performance @ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zp3Hsw6VTHU

Enjoy! ~

Logistic map is a simple example of a discrete dynamical system that actually names a whole family of iterative functions described by the Logistic Equation: Xn+1 = RXn(1-Xn) Our patch generates LogisticMap and use this data to control the duration of each step. If the difference between the sequential y-axis floats less than 0.35, they sounds synchronously rather then sequentially. As much as four steps(durations) can be triggered in this way. With the "Tendenz" array one can control the variance of tempo

The pdf file i´ve created from html version of Johannes Kreidler´s book "Programming Electronic Music in PD" also known as "Loadbang". This is the english translation. There is a problem in this file: I had to squeeze some images so they can fit in the paper. I used A4 sheet paper size because is the regular size in my country (Brazil). Good reading!

This is the original .odt (OpenOffice) file I used to create the pdf of html version of Johannes Kreidler´s book "Programming Electronic Music in PD" also known as "Loadbang". I made this upload so everyone can edit the original file and maybe make it look better because of the problem I had with the images in the original PDF file.

A sound to test the patch, if you don't have one. This is a particulary good sound for this type of manipulation because it is short and very sharp, wich can create a granular texture more or less dense.

This is a graph-on-parent 2-channel DJ mixer, featuring a crossfader and hi/mid/low balancing/cuts.
The input is left and right decks, as labeled, and the output is one mono-master track.
The balancing may need some adjustment, with respect to the hip/bp/lop filters, to meet the needs of the end user. To do this open [pd leftbalance] or [pd rightbalance] subpatches. In these are the [pd balance] subpatches, and the hip/bp/lop should be visible at this point. adjust as needed. there is also a [pd balance] subpatch in the [pd master] subpatch.
