Content description:
The aim of the 2 day Workshop is to introduce PureData, a dataflow programming (visual programing) language for audio and multimedia, which has been a recent pioneering application in the contemporary art field. 2 day Workshop will give opportunity to anyone to learn the basic and the general logic of data flow, control and process in PureData environment. In the beginning of the workshop there will be some PD Works presentation, which will be aimed to introduce all the modules that PD can support (sound-image-networking-physical)

Workshop objectives:
To get familiar with the language of Pure Data and the uses of patching logic general. The workshop will consist of lectures and "real-time" exercises.

3 day Workshop -27.06-29.06.2007

Content description:
3 day Workshop will focus on real-time image processing with GEM, Graphics Environment for Multimedia, library in PureData environment. The Video Version of this workshop will introduce the structure and the hierarchy of the GEM objects with examples based on importing images, video files and live video, controlling, modifying and creating these images with GEM objects.Workshop will also introduce some patch structures to capture motion in live or recorded video files. The Video Version will move to next step introducing more GEM objects that will give us possibility to do some data analyzing in imported video or image files and use this data to connect sound and image in PD. This will be a project based workshop where participants will be able to work on their own individuals and group ideas.

Workshop objectives:
To get familiar with the video processing in Pure Data. The workshop will consist of lectures, exercises and tutoring individual or group works. During the workshop participants will work on their own projects using Pure Data programming environment and at the end of the workshop participants will present their individual or group works.
