The ascii library contains two externals, any2ascii and ascii2any. It converts a stream of ASCII numerical codes to PD messages and vice-versa. It was designed to be used with the comport external, in order to communicate with serial devices using the ASCII protocol, like modems and custom microcontroller based peripherals.
